Halloween Week...Part 2

On Wednesday, AJ has his Halloween orchestra concert. I went with my mom and grandparents. It was the most hilarious and entertaining concert I have been to. Perhaps I got stuck with the wrong instrument cause this was a great concert. AJ's grade played a song from The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe...they brought out a wardrobe and a lion danced around the stage. I couldn't stop giggling. I didn't get any good pictures of the dancer but trust me it was HYSTERICAL! They also played a song where they were in the dark, then as the music sped up they started flashing the lights. At one point, all the lights were off and the kids kept playing. My grandma couldn't stop laughing...she is easily entertained.
AJ was Mario obviously. I helped him get his costume ready this year. After we went to lunch on his birthday we came home and thought up what to get for him for his concert costume. We looked online and he knew he wanted to be Mario. So, $20 bucks(and 3 hot glue gun burns) later we had put everything together. And I think he looks just great!!!
I LOVE to carve pumpkins! Its seriously my favorite part of Halloween...but I always tend to do it way too early so my pumpkin becomes disgustingly shrivelled by the time Halloween is here, and I can imagine with the heat we've been having it would have gotten a lot worst sooner. So, I almost ran out of time...so on the 30th we finally decided to carve pumpkins. We meaning me and AJ of course. Michael, however and surprisingly, joined in the fun this year!! I bet you can't guess which pumpkin is which....

AJ's is the frankenstein, mine is the middle one and Michael's is the carved, shaved, and painted anime one....

Michael cracks me up! He had started carving his pumpkin before I had even picked out what design to do on mine. Granted he didn't do such a good job of cleaning it out, he kept saying he'd do that later. When he picked out the design he wanted I told him that wouldn't make a good pumpkin....But little did I know he was going to try to shave off just the skin off the outside. But for an even cooler effect he decided to paint over the shaved part so when its lit, it will glow that color. It really turned out SO much better than I thought. I almost peed my pants laughing so hard(no one in our family EVER does that...) Beautiful Michael....

AJ tried so hard to clean out his own and carve it...I tend to help out A LOT! I still ended up cleaning it out, he called me the pro quite a few times, I even injured my thumb helping both of them clean it out. I'm so proud at how well AJ's turned out.
Hurrah, Hurrah for good Halloween fun. I'm disappointed I will never go to another cornmaze again(Daren's all anti...) and I'll probably never dress up ever again(its too stressful and lame when you don't have anything to do....) But as long as I still have my pumpkin carving(I almost tried to do a Kurt Cobain one but then realized I'd be carving all night...) I'll be set. I love this time of year, I love being scared! Thanks to Susan for 2 of the pumpkins(the easier ones to clean out!) What a great Halloween!

Halloween Week

This week I have a lot of pictures with no significance to one another. I don't like making lots of posts I'll just make a big one. I'm so proud of myself for taking as many pictures as I have!

Halloween Costumes

Kona the devil
Meli the pumpkin

The Aggie Football Game

I love going to the football games. This one was exceptionally warm! We all were getting burned on the right side of our bodies. Unfortunately, Daren couldn't make it so it was just us three. It was a disappointing loss. Who would have ever thought Fresno State could make a 58 yard field goal??? Oh well, we're use to being disappointed right?

AJ's Birthday

On Friday, the 24th it was AJ's birthday. Being awesome sisters we decided we would take him out of school and take him to lunch. IT WAS A GREAT TIME! We couldn't stop laughing... We coincidentally all wore pink. We are so cool. Don't get the Chicken & Gnocchi soup, its super nasty! AJ ended up getting lots of money for his birthday so he could get himself a PSP. He loves it.
Rockband
We finally splurged and bought rockband. I, of course, had to sing because neither of the boys ever wanted to. We rocked it! We passed the entire game off in roughly 24 hours. I suck at the drums. I'm glad we bought it though, great songs. I hope we get another one soon though- I need more variety of songs I suppose.

This Month Is Such A Special One...

ITS BIRTHDAY TIME FOR YOU!!!!
That's right folks, Meli turned one this month! Can you believe it? I sure can't! So, I'm going to share with you a few NEW things Meli has started doing that I really enjoy...

- She actually now likes having her belly scratched. She comes running up on the bed and just rolls on over for you.

- She HATES having her back feet touched. I'm not sure why this is but she's growl at you(just a heads up for those of you who were thinking of doing this...) But I still like to tease her and touch them.

-She LOVES having her necked scratched. Sometimes if you start scratching and then decide to stop she'll start softly pawing you to continue...and if you go to her face and she wants it lower she'll paw your arm until you move it down.

-But mostly, I love having her sleep with us. She doesn't start out on our bed, she actually steals Kona's bed from her, so Kona is on her TINY little bed. But sometime in the middle of the night she jumps up there and hits my arm so I know I need to lift up the sheets so she can nestle her way in.

And as for all the tags I've been getting hit with...I will do them now....so enjoy those too....

6 Quirks

1- I HATE feet!! I hate socks, shoes, or anything dealing with feet. People who touch my feet weird me out. I will never touch your feet.I think I actually got this weird quirk from Andria, long long ago...

2-I love to look at myself in a mirror, reflection, etc...Ha, all of you people thought I was over this? No way! When I was younger I always got mocked because during dinner I would stare at myself in the window. This has not changed, I still stare at myself in the glass at work that's across from me. Any chance I have to check myself out, I do it! Vein or what!?

3-I love peanut butter....like really really love it. Thanks to Crystal I found a new love for peanut butter. I actually HATED peanut butter like 2 years ago but now I crave peanut butter treats all the time. Peanut Butter Cake anyone??

4-I'm anal about my weekly schedule. I have to plan things out precisely. This has caused many problems with Daren because he likes to just wait and see what happens. Sometimes he doesn't decide until the day before we're going to go to his parents house, oh the grief and stress that has caused me. I know when I have to do every chore, break, etc...

5-I have a lot of clothing issues. I'm a freak about what I'm wearing sometimes. I'm a seasonal dresser, I'm a matching freak, and I feel like if I wear the same thing I wore the last time I saw you hell just might freeze over. Again, this has brought a lot of chances for my family to make fun of me over the years. I can't really explain just how awful and tedious it is to be me, just kidding kind of, but its a full time job all within itself. I'm really joking but I care too much about it...

6-This is the first presidential election I get to actually vote for, just 3 weeks shy of the last one. And I feel like its a huge decision for me. I'm not one for politics because my family gets really heated about the issues but I feel like no matter who I pick my vote will be the deciding one. Am I hilarious or what?

Just Some Pictures

To start off our new blog I decided to just post some pictures. I'm sorry to throw all of you off and move to a different blog but I was getting too frustrated with the old system. I'll try to update more for those of you who think I am slacking! Maybe this will motivate me ;)

This is Daren's elk pictures. He is a little bummed, he says it's small. It looks big to me but I don't know a thing about hunting. We got the head mounted(pictures to come..) and lots of meat! Thanks to Daren's parents for storing half of it in their freezer!!

I love my husband...he is so dorky sometimes. But he sure is swell!

P.S. If you read my blog you better be commenting...have some blogging manners please.
